Summary of the "Modular Project 0.6" GdK Course

This project is part of the "Grundlagen der Konstruktion" (Fundamentals of Design) course (Module L1030), led by Professor Strohmaier during the Summer Semester 2025. The goal is to design a custom DUPLO-style building block that represents the students initials.

Main Project Tasks:

1. Select your initials (first letters of your first and last name) from a provided template.
2. Combine both letters into a visually appealing and functional layout.
3. Design a single DUPLO-compatible block based on the combined initials:

• Must comply with DUPLO/LEGO standards (16 mm stud spacing).
• Must be compatible with existing DUPLO and LEGO bricks.
• Ensure structural integrity and usability.

1. Simulate manufacturing by CNC milling the block from solid aluminum:

• Avoid features that can't be milled (e.g., injection molding details).
• Use appropriate wall thickness, rounded edges, and minimum tool sizes (2 mm standard, 1 mm allowed with permission).
• Design must be fully machinable with the specified tools.

1. Produce complete technical documentation:

• Submit a 3D CAD model (.CATPart) and a detailed technical drawing (.CATDrawing and PDF).
