In this gig, I will edit your manuscript to check for typos, pacing, flow, character arcs, plot, and story. I will also give feedback and suggestions for tension, logic, etc. All changes will be tracked for you to decide what stays and what goes.
You can add proofreading to this order.

What if I don't like your edits?
I give everyone a sample edit. If you do not want criticism, then do not ask for it. However, you are also free to disregard any advice I give you. You are the author of your story.
Do you give a sample edit?
Yes. Before you order from me, let's chat and I will do a 1000-word sample edit for you.
Will you give development edits and proofread in the same order?
I do not recommend it, but I can. That's an expensive and long service.
What if there are still mistakes when you're done?
While I do my best, there no doubt will be. Your story needs several rounds of edits to make it the best it can be. Make sure you do your part in getting it as strong as it can be.
Do I have to credit you as editor?
No. In fact, I like to remain anonymous for 99% of the projects I work on. No credit needed.
I don't need an edit, I need a proofread.
I do that! Message me and I'll make a custom order for proofreading rather than an edit.

Abigail was very professional, and for the right book, probably an excellent editor, but my book was a bit experimental, think non-linear timelines, so, a challenge, both to write and edit, but instead of trying to help me make a better book, it felt like she wanted my project to be a different book....
