About this gig

Moving to a new host or domain and worried about downtime, broken links or lost emails? I will move your WordPress site carefully: files and database, DNS, SSL, email records and a full check after the move.

What I do:

  • Full backup of files and database before anything changes
  • Move to the new host (cPanel, Plesk, VPS, managed WordPress hosting)
  • Search-replace of URLs in the database, including serialized data
  • DNS switch planned to avoid downtime; SSL certificate on the new server
  • Email records checked: MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, so mail keeps arriving
  • 301 redirects from the old domain to keep your SEO
  • After the move: forms, checkout, logins, images and speed tested

How it works: send me the old and new hosting access. I copy and test the site on the new server first, switch DNS only when everything works, and send a report.

I have moved client sites between hosting providers without downtime many times. 20 years in PHP, MySQL and Linux. Written communication only.
