I will convert PDF or scanned tables to excel accurately
About this Gig
Retyping tables from a PDF is slow and error-prone. I convert your PDF or scanned tables into a clean Excel workbook you can actually sort, filter and sum.
How it works: I extract every table, one sheet per page, then combine them into a single sheet with consistent columns when the pages share a layout. Numbers come through as numbers, not text. Dates come through as dates. Merged headers and multi-line cells are rebuilt so nothing lands in the wrong column.
Accuracy is checked, not assumed. Where the PDF has totals or subtotals, I recompute them from the extracted rows and compare. Any cell I cannot read with confidence, such as a smudged digit on a scan, is listed on an Issues sheet with the page number so you can verify it in seconds instead of hunting for it.
Native PDFs (text you can select) and clean scans are both fine. Handwriting, very low-resolution scans and photos taken at an angle are quoted separately, because they need more manual checking.
Send the PDF and tell me how you want the columns laid out and I will get started.
FAQ
How many revisions are included?
One revision round is included to fix anything that does not match the requirements you gave. Additional changes, new pages or a different layout after that are a new order or a gig extra.
What happens to my files after delivery?
PDFs and output files are deleted from my systems 14 days after delivery. Ask in the order if you need earlier deletion and I will confirm when it is done.
Do you use AI tools?
Yes. Extraction and OCR are AI-assisted, and every deliverable is reviewed by a human, including a totals check against the source PDF. I am happy to explain which steps were automated on request.
Can you handle scanned PDFs or photos?
Clean scans at 200 dpi or higher are included in Standard and Premium. Handwriting, blurry or skewed photos and very low-resolution scans are possible but quoted separately after I see a sample page.
How do I know the numbers are right?
Every totals or subtotal row in the PDF is recomputed from the extracted cells and compared. Mismatches and low-confidence cells are listed on the Issues sheet with page references, so you review only the cells that need it.
