About this Gig
I help early-career engineers turn generic resumes into ones that clearly communicate their unique value and match the engineering positions they actually want.
I review your resume, tailor it to your provided engineering job descriptions, rewrite weak bullet points, fix passive voice, improve ATS keyword matching, and give you detailed feedback and instructions about how to tailor your resume to future job postings for long-term success.
I've also developed an engineering resume Report Card I will use to grade your initial resume and your final delivered resume. This will give you insights into why I've made these changes and how you can write your own resumes in the future or for other job applications.
Every change I make will come with a detailed description about why I made the change, so you learn along the way!
When submitting resumes, please use .doc, .docx, or .pdf formats. If applicable, include sample job descriptions for the jobs your are applying for. If you are looking at multiple jobs, include multiple descriptions and I will tailor your resume for each one.

FAQ
What types of engineers do you work with?
I specialize in early-career engineering professionals, including mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, quality, electrical, and computer engineers. Engineers seeking their first role, applying for internships, or looking for their next position are encouraged to reach out!
Do you only work with engineers?
No, engineering is just the field I'm most familiar with. I am knowledgeable in technician work, technical writing, marketing, management, and more, and can tailor any resume to a specific job posting. I will reach out if I need any clarification on your credentials or experience.
Do you write resumes from scratch?
My primary service is resume optimization, not complete resume writing. I'm best at improving your existing resume by strengthening bullet points, improving formatting, and tailoring it to your target job. If you have very little to start with, contact me first and we can discuss your situation.
What do I need to send you?
Please provide your current resume in a word, docs, or PDF format. Please also provide at least one engineering job posting you'd like to target. If providing multiple, please make sure they're in related fields for best results. Feel free to include any specific questions or concerns as well.
What will I receive?
You'll receive: - An optimized version of your resume ready for applications - A marked-up copy explaining all major changes - Recommendations on future resumes/other jobs - An engineering resume Report Card grading your initial resume and your final resume against key areas for your insight
Do you guarantee interviews or job offers?
No, as no resume writer can honestly guarantee interviews or job offers. My goal is to help you present your experience as clearly and persuasively as possible while tailoring your resume to the positions you're targeting.
Why should I choose you vs. another writer, AI, or a large resume help company?
I am an actual engineer that struggled early on to land opportunities. I've analyzed over 1,000 job postings and succeeded in landing engineering roles with little experience. I understand today's hiring processes from both sides, and specialize in making you stand out among your competition.
Can you help if I don't have internship experience?
Absolutely! I know first-hand how hard it is to garner interest in your resume with no internships listed. I'll help you identify technical projects, coursework, leadership, research, and other transferrable skills to include on your resume instead.
How will I receive my review?
Standard delivery is within 72 hours. I will reach out to you and provide you with the deliverables and a summary message explaining what I did. Rush options are available if you need your resume sooner.
What is an engineering resume Report Card?
The Report Card is a unique offering that I include to rate your initial resume in all the key areas - organization, ATS keywords, quantified achievements, impact, formatting, and completeness. I then review the resume I've written you again and include scores to see exactly where improvements were.
