A custom connector allows you to link to an application with an API and use that apps data in Power Automate or Power Apps and share via workflows to your Office365 tools such as Excel, SharePoint lists and libraries.
I am a certified developer with 20+ years of experience working on Microsoft SharePoint automation projects. I have been a Microsoft Power Platform Developer since the product was launched in 2016.

What is a Standard Connector?
For most standard, well documented APIs I will develop a standard custom connector which you can install and use just like any of the other connections and actions built into Power Automate and Power Apps. A standard connector will typically have less than 3 actions associated with the connector.
What is a Premium Connector?
The API may require more secure authorization, or there are many endpoints/calls required, or a non-standard connection flow is required. This may involve setting up the connector on the client's Microsoft tenancy or providing detailed instructions and user notes.
Can you really connect to any data source?
Yes, in short. More complex connectors simply take more resources to complete. If you have a complex connection it is probably best to book a discovery gig first so that I can go through it in detail with you and produce and accurate, costed proposal.
