I will clean and structure your messy data
Data Analyst, Python and R, turning messy data into clear answers
About this Gig
Messy data slows you down. Wrong formats, inconsistent columns, and structures that fight you when you try to build a chart or a pivot table.
I'll clean and restructure your data so it's ready to use.
Recent example, I worked with a dataset detailing pump prices in Kenya, 4,683 rows, inconsistent date formats, and a wide structure that made analysis hard. I restructured it into a clean format, and caught two irregular pricing cycles the raw file never flagged. See the before and after in my portfolio.
What you'll get.
- Correct data types and consistent formatting
- Clean, readable column names
- Duplicates and errors resolved
- Data restructured for Excel, Python, R, or Tableau
- A short summary of what changed and any issues found
I work in SQL, Python, R and Excel, comfortable with data that isn't clean to begin with.
Send me your file and tell me your goal. I'll tell you honestly if it's a good fit before you order.

FAQ
What file formats do you accept?
A: CSV, Excel (.xlsx and .xls), and Google Sheets. If your file is in another format, message me first and I'll confirm I can work with it.
What if my data has sensitive or private information?
Let me know before you order. In most cases I only need the structure and non-identifying columns to do the cleaning work, and we can discuss anonymizing anything sensitive beforehand.
Do you also analyze the data, not just clean it?
Cleaning and basic restructuring are included in every package. Deeper analysis or custom charts beyond what's listed can usually be added, message me with your goal first so I can scope it properly.
What if my dataset is larger than your package limits?
No problem, just message me the row count before ordering and I'll either recommend the right package or quote an accurate custom price for the extra volume.
How will I receive the cleaned data?
In the same format you sent it, plus a short written summary of what was changed and any data quality issues I found along the way.
