I will teach you composition and orchestration

I am a Peruvian composer with almost thirty years of experience and a Master's degree in Composition from the University of Birmingham. My music has been performed across four continents and is published by Cayambis Music Press, with works held in the US Library of Congress. I have composed the scores for eight feature films and taught composition and orchestration at the university level for eighteen years.

My instruction is directed at advanced students: composers in the final years of study, recent graduates, and working musicians developing specific skills. Basic harmony, music notation, and some experience with notation software are required.

I work by assigning compositional exercises and providing detailed feedback. The goal is not to impose a style, but to help you develop your own voice with rigor and intention. I do not teach songwriting or arrangement. My work is within contemporary classical music.
