Do I need Shopify Plus to use Shopify Functions?
Custom Functions require a Shopify Plus plan. If you're on a lower plan, some Scripts can be replaced by public apps from the Shopify App Store which also use Functions under the hood.
What happens if I don't migrate before June 30, 2026?
All Shopify Scripts stop executing completely on June 30. Any custom discounts, shipping rules or payment logic powered by Scripts will stop working, with no grace period or rollback option.
How many Scripts do I have and how do I find out?
Go to your Shopify Admin → Apps → Script Editor to see all active Scripts. You can also run the Scripts Customizations Report from your Shopify admin. Send me the list and I'll scope the migration for you.
Can you migrate any type of Script to Functions?
Most Scripts can be migrated. Discount, shipping, and payment Scripts all have direct Functions equivalents. Some very complex Scripts with external API calls may require a different approach, which I'll flag during the audit.
Will my checkout break during the migration?
No. I test new Functions alongside your existing Scripts in staging before going live. The cutover happens with zero downtime. Your Scripts keep running until Functions are confirmed working.
