Which are the Source Files for Illustrations?
The source file depends on what you are going to use the illustration for. You have: JPG, PNG, TIFF, PDF,AI and SVG files.
Which are the differences between JPG, TIFF, PNG, AI, SVG files?
- JPG: Better for print. Doesn’t allow cut-out images with transparent background. - PNG: Better for digital. Allow cut-out images with transparent background. - TIFF/AI Better for print. Much heavier than JPG.- SVG: Vector file that maintains high resolution after manipulation.
What is RGB and CMYK?
RGB is a color mode used for digital files, CMYK is used for printing (that´s why it may look a little different on the screen)
