I will add a real test suite to your react or nextjs app using tdd

React and Nextjs Test Automation and Legacy Modernization
About this Gig
Shipping fast but afraid to refactor? I add the safety net your React or Next.js codebase is missing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with Vitest and Playwright, wired into CI so regressions get caught before your users do.
I work test-first (TDD), so the tests describe how your app actually behaves instead of just chasing a coverage number. I never modify tests to make broken code pass.
What you get:
- A real Vitest + Playwright test suite, structured and maintainable
- API mocking with MSW so tests run fast and deterministic
- GitHub Actions CI integration with a gate that fails on regressions (Premium)
- A short coverage report with clear recommendations
Proof of work:
- Raised a legacy React app from 4.82% to 97.19% statement coverage
- Built 2,000+ automated tests (1,533 Vitest + 561 Playwright) for a multi-tenant SaaS, with quality gates that block bad code automatically
Stack: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Vitest, Playwright, Cypress, MSW, Testing Library, GitHub Actions.

FAQ
Do you write the tests, or just run existing ones?
I write them. You get a new, maintainable Vitest + Playwright suite (or additions to your existing one), test-first, that describes how your app actually behaves — not just a coverage number
What do you need from me to start?
Access to your repo (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket), a quick note on which features matter most, and how to run the app locally. Message me before ordering and I'll confirm scope and the right package.
My app has zero tests. Can you still help?
That's exactly what this gig is for. I've taken a legacy React app from 4.82% to 97% coverage from scratch, setting up the tooling and CI alongside the tests.
Which frameworks and stacks do you support?
React and Next.js with TypeScript or JavaScript. Tools: Vitest, Playwright, Cypress, MSW, Testing Library, and GitHub Actions for CI. If you're on Jest, I can work with that too.
Will you change my application code?
My focus is tests and CI, not rewriting your app. If the tests surface a real bug, I'll flag it with a recommendation — I never alter tests just to make broken code pass. Code fixes can be a separate scope.
