About this gig
Adding a second language to a React app looks simple until you try it. Then the URLs break, Google treats your translations as duplicate content, dates show up wrong, and Slavic plurals fall apart because English logic only knows one and many.
I have shipped fifteen languages in production and I know where it breaks.
What I do:
Extract every hardcoded string and set up the dictionaries
Configure locale routing so each language gets a clean, indexable URL
Add hreflang and canonical tags so search engines rank each version
Wire up Intl formatting for dates, numbers and currencies
Handle plural rules, including languages with three or four forms
Right to left layouts for Arabic and Hebrew on Premium
Your site stays fast. My own projects score 100 out of 100 with all locales loaded.

FAQ
Do you translate the text as well?
No, and that is deliberate. I build the language layer, you supply the translated text or use a translation service. I will not guarantee wording in a language I do not speak. If you need translators, I can point you to reliable options on Fiverr.
Will this slow my site down?
It should not. Dictionaries load per language, not all at once, and routing is set up so pages stay static where possible. My own projects hold 100 out of 100 on performance with every locale in place.
What do you need from me to start?
Repository access or the site URL, a list of the languages you want, and the translated text when it is ready. If the text is not ready yet, I can build the structure first and drop translations in later.
My site is not React. Can you still help?
Message me before ordering. This gig covers React and Next.js. For Vue or plain JavaScript sites I may still be able to help, but I will tell you honestly if the job is outside what I do well.
Can I add more languages myself later?
Yes, that is how I structure it. Each language lives in its own file, so adding one is a matter of copying a file and translating the values. No code changes needed.
