Who owns the topline melody and lyrics that you write?
As the creator of the original lyrics and/or melody, I retain my portion of the Composition Copyright. This is a professional partnership where we both own our contribution to the composition, ensuring a fair compensation for both our creative efforts.
What is the "Commercial Use Extra" for?
This extra is a licensing fee that gives you legal permission to use my composition commercially (streaming, sales, etc.). It formalizes our agreement for a standard 50/50 split on all future songwriting royalties. It's a fair deal that ensures we both benefit if the song is a hit!
How does the "50/50 Publishing Split" work?
The split only applies to the songwriter royalties (generated by the lyrics and melody from streaming platforms and radio). You retain 100% of the Master Recording rights (your final track). We simply share the success of the composition.
Can I buy out your Publishing Rights 100%?
I prefer to maintain a collaborative partnership through the standard 50/50 split. However, if a Full Publishing Buyout is essential for your project, please message me to discuss a custom arrangement.
Can I use your demo vocals in my final song?
No, the vocal demo I provide serves as a guide for the topline melody and lyrics of the song. If you'd like to use my vocals in your final song, that would be a separate service. You can find packages for singing vocals on my page, or feel free to send me a message!
Do you topline write for all genres?
I specialize in pop, EDM, indie, alternative, singer-songwriter, and I have prior experience writing for producers in these genres. I am also open to exploring other genres. If you have a specific genre in mind or would like to discuss your unique musical vision, feel free to message me!
What is included in the two minor revisions?
The revisions cover minor polish, like small lyrical tweaks or slight changes to the melody's rhythm. However, starting over with a brand new lyric theme or melody after the first draft requires an additional fee for the new creative work.
What song structure do your packages cover?
All packages cover the specific sections listed. Any additional section (extra verse, pre-chorus, etc.) beyond the package scope requires a small added fee.
