Peter and James were key apostles of Jesus. Peter, a former fisherman, became a leading figure in the early church, later linked to Rome. James refers to a few figures: James, son of Zebedee, part of Jesus's inner circle; James, son of Alphaeus, another apostle; and James, "brother of Jesus," who led the Jerusalem church and is credited with the Epistle of James. Together, they were foundational leaders of early Christianity.
