I will copy or line edit your fiction or nonfiction book

A revision is minor changes to the edited manuscript, like correcting errors in information, changing wording, etc. It doesn't include adding new content based on editor suggestions or significant changes made after editing. A second pass of editing add'l content will cost extra.

Word counts are estimates. Importance/attention is given to flow. If you expect an exact word count, please reach out to discuss before ordering. I do not charge extra if word count goes over and don't give refunds if word count is shorter. Word count is "UP TO" the word count selected.

Format will be a traditional manuscript format in Times New Roman 12 pt font with a clickable Table of Contents, unless otherwise agreed. Book formatting will not include book covers, design layout, ePub conversion, or additional design features. ASK BEFORE ORDERING.

Every effort is made to be 100% accurate. However, there is an acceptable margin of error for the industry. (IngramSparks.com). Most books go through several rounds of editing to ensure all errors are caught. You understand that you are paying for ONE PASS of editing & not all errors may be caught.

Read carefully and reach out before ordering. You cannot renegotiate to pay less after ordering. However, you can order additional services for an additional charge. Please conduct business in good faith.

Editing takes surrounding content and flow into consideration. Any additional content added after editing has started will not be edited unless agreed to in advance. Be sure you have completed the manuscript before submitting for edits.

If you significantly change or reorganize the content, add new content, or ask that I rewrite sections after the delivery, there will be an additional charge. This is not considered part of the engagement. You get one pass of editing. You will be charged to make another pass.

I offer suggestions for improvement in the final delivery notes. The revision does not include editing additional or changed content added based on these suggestions. Editing the changed or added content would be a 2nd pass of editing at an additional cost.

Traditional book editing is done in Word. I do not open Google Doc links for security reasons and do not use Pages, as it can drop characters, images, etc., in conversion. Publishing platforms require a Word or PDF file.
