My academic path involved several years as a university researcher in both Italy and Japan (Nagoya). During this time, I also had the opportunity to teach Semiotics and Philosophy of Language. This methodologically rigorous background is the foundation for my approach to teaching Italian.
Holding a PhD in Philosophy of Language, my focus is not just on individual rules, but on understanding how language shapes thought. Therefore, I help students internalize linguistic structure intuitively, transforming the difficult process of grammar acquisition into a more natural and sophisticated form of expression.

I am a complete beginner. Can I book your lessons?
Yes. While my approach is rigorous, I cater to all levels, from absolute beginners (A1) to advanced learners (C2). We start by building a strong linguistic foundation tailored to your specific pace and goals.
What materials do we use during the lessons?
I utilize a blend of academic resources, real-world Italian media (including the option to integrate comics/manga if desired!), and custom-designed exercises based on your specific needs. The curriculum is always tailored to you.
Do you offer CILS or CELI exam preparation?
Absolutely. A core component of my service is structured preparation for international certification exams (CILS, CELI, etc.). We will work systematically on the speaking, writing, listening, and reading components required for success.
What is the purpose of the "Discover Italian – Trial Session"?
The trial session is essential for two reasons: 1) To accurately assess your current language level and needs, and 2) To allow you to "test the waters" and see how my academic-based methodology works before committing to a larger package.
Do you teach groups larger than two students?
