Do you use Microsoft Word or Google Docs?
Both! I also use Track Changes or Suggesting Mode so you can see each revision. However, I can also provide a clean copy if you prefer.
As a historian, do you proofread and edit outside of the discipline?
Yes! I am a passionate historian which gives me a solid foundation in grammar, spelling, and punctuation that is also effective outside of research papers. I can edit any piece of writing: fiction, business documents, blogs, scripts, and, of course, academic writings.
Which citation style do you specialize in?
I am an expert in Chicago Style Citation. I enjoy creating and editing citations both as footnotes and in a bibliography. I also understand the format and tense Chicago requires. I received a perfect score on my master's thesis for my citation style.
What sources do you use for fact-checking?
As an expert researcher, I utilize many digitized sources such as newspapers, videos, podcasts, and books. I have access to academic sources such as Jstor and Google Scholar. If you are unsure of the validity of your information, I can find the answer.
Your packages aren't exactly what I need. Can we create a custom package?
Absolutely! If you need to add services or expedite a project I am happy to discuss how we can make that happen.
Do you use AI?
I do not. However, for the sake of budget or time constraints, I am willing to explore that option so you get exactly what you need, when you need it.
Can you write my history essay?
No, but I can do everything from look at an outline to proofread a final copy. I can check the accuracy of citations and fact-check any information. Together, we can enhance your voice and guarantee your academic success.
Why do you not use a plagiarism or AI checker for academic writing?
Institutions use their own programs to check for plagiarism and AI use. If I were to insert a document into either checker, it is possible, upon submission, your school will flag your essay as plagiarized or AI because it was already run through a program which saved your document.
