I will carry out a patent search for your idea

All work is carried out under the UK Limited company Alexander IPC Ltd.

Before investing money in filing a utility patent application it is wise to check that there is nothing too similar to your invention already published or patented. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: A patent search checks whether you can get a patent for an innovation. It does NOT check whether your product would infringe existing patents owned by competitors - that would be a Freedom To Operate / FTO search. I offer these but price varies, please message me for details.

The process

I will:

1. Ask you questions about your invention (and provide a Non-Disclosure Agreement if requested).

2. Carry out category-based keyword searches in the various global patent databases to identify published patents which may be relevant to the patentability of your invention.

3. Summarise the relevant results for you in a formal report and provide my opinion on whether you should proceed with a patent application for your invention, or if modifications are required. 

4. (Premium) Discuss the search findings, what they mean, and the best way forward with you in an in-depth strategy call.
