The patent system is not designed for lone inventors or small companies. The law is complicated and if your invention is not defined and described properly your patent will be refused and you will have wasted your money.
The process
I will:
1. Ask you questions about your invention (and provide a Non-Disclosure Agreement if requested).
2. Based on your answers, write a patent with the proper legal wording to protect your invention.
3. If required, provide basic drawings for your invention that will meet international requirements. More complex and detailed drawings can be provided as an extra.
4. Send the draft patent to you for comments.
5. If necessary, update the patent so that it is ready to file.
Patent law firms usually charge huge amounts of money for this process to cover their costs, with me you will have the same expertise at a fraction of the cost.

Are drawings provided?
Drawings are an optional extra that can be added on. This structure is to account for clients who already have drawings prepared and wish for me to use those.
Is a patent search included?
No, but I do carry out patent searches and provide a summary of results and an opinion on patentability as a separate gig.
Is my invention patentable?
This is a good question to be asking before actually spending money on writing and filing a patent application, however it takes some work to review and give an answer on this. I offer this service for a low price as a separate gig.
Do I need to prepare anything before buying a gig?
No, once you purchase the gig you will be presented with a set of questions that will give me enough technical information to draft a patent application for your invention - however if you do have documents explaining your invention prepared feel free to upload them.
Which gig package should I choose?
The gig packages are based on the type of invention you wish to protect. For anything with software, choose the complex package, for anything with electronics and no software choose the mid-tier package, for anything mechanical choose the simple invention package.
Can you upgrade my provisional to a non-provisional?
