What’s the difference between beta reading and editing?
eta reading focuses on reader experience—plot, characters, pacing—not grammar or sentence structure. If you need editing, I offer that too!
What's the difference between alpha reading and beta reading?
Alpha reading comes after you've finished your first draft. An alpha reader is usually one of the first people to take a look at your work in all its unedited glory. A beta reader comes after you've tidied up your manuscript to the best of your ability.
Will I get comments in the manuscript?
Yes! I'll leave comments as I go about things I loved and my raw reactions as well as areas of confusion and opportunities for improvement.
What do you use to leave in-line feedback?
I use Google Docs to leave comments as I read your work. You can share the link to your Google Doc with me so I'll use the comment and suggesting modes to leave comments or suggest changes.
What if my manuscript is over 100,000 words?
If you're manuscript is over 100,000 words then no worries! Just reach out and I'll create a custom offer that adds on additional words and update the turn around time.
