I offer copy and line editing and/or proofreading for poetry, creative nonfiction essays, and fiction short stories up to 10,000 words at around $0.017 per word to help you polish your pieces for publication, whether it be in a collection or a literary journal. Developmental edits are included for nonfiction/fiction pieces.

This service includes suggestions on:

• readability/tone
• grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• plot development/plot holes (for fiction and CNF)
• narrative arc (for fiction and CNF)
• thematic development
• character development/character arcs (for fiction and CNF)

• genre alignments/expectations

An overall editorial feedback letter, which sums up and explains my overall suggestions, is provided once all edits have been completed. I will also send you any notes/charts/diagrams I may make related to the developmental edits.

Suggested edits can either be made as comments in a Word/Google document or with the tracked changes feature in a Word/Google document. I will sign an NDA or other confidentiality agreement if desired.
