FAQ
How does copyright work?
After final delivery, you receive full commercial rights to the illustrations. It’s a one-time purchase with no additional fees.
What is your work flow?
I begin with a detailed chat about your story and style. Next, I illustrate one sample page for your approval. Once you’re happy, I complete the remaining pages, sharing progress for feedback. Final print-ready JPG, PNG, and PSD/PDF files are delivered with revisions as needed.
How long does a project take?
Project time depends on the number of pages and detail level. A single illustration usually takes 3–5 days, while a full children’s book typically takes 2–4 weeks. If you have a deadline, we can discuss and adjust the schedule.
What is the most popular KDP children’s book size?
The most popular KDP children’s book size is 8.5 × 8.5 inches (square), followed by 8 × 10 inches and 8.5 × 11 inches. These sizes are widely used for picture books and storybooks on Amazon KDP & Ingramspark.
Will I receive sketches before the final illustrations?
Yes! I provide sketches for every illustration first. This allows you to review and give feedback, ensuring the final colored artwork perfectly matches your vision.
Can you help me with the full book illustrations?
Absolutely! I can create full book illustrations. Please contact me with your project details, and I’ll provide a personalized quote and timeline.
Do you create single pages or spread pages?
I create single pages (best for KDP) and spread pages (for print). Spread pages (two-page spread) I can also create full spread illustrations for print books. If needed, I will deliver them properly split into left and right pages for KDP formatting.
Can you do custom order?
Yes, we can discuss your requirements and your budget and I can send you a custom offer.
Will you send me the original/source file?
Yes! I shall send you the source file.
Will you help me if I need any small edits after closing the project?
Definitely! I shall always be there to help you.
