About this gig
I will clean up and repair scans of your old family photos and slides. Scratches, cracks, and dust will be removed for all photos. For color photos, color will be corrected, for black and white contrast can be corrected as necessary. Quality of the final product is dependent on quality of the original scan.

What resolution should I scan my old photos at?
At least 300dpi, preferably 600dpi for archival quality.
How can I get the best results from my pictures?
Gently dust the photos or slides with a dry cloth or by blowing on them. If you're using a scanner, clean the exposure glass of your scanner frequently-the cleaner the original scan, the better the final result! If you're taking pictures with a phone remove glass from frames to avoid reflections.
How can I digitize my photos?
A scanner is the best option, make sure to use a flatbed for fragile images that might be torn by a feed scanner. You can also take photos of them with your phone. Be sure to remove glass and use even lighting to avoid reflections for the best results.
