FAQ
Do I need to pay for any tools or apps?
Most of my work uses CSV files and Shopify's own tools, so there is no extra cost. Some migration apps charge by the number of records. If a paid app is needed, I tell you the price first and you approve it before I use it.
Will I lose any products or customers?
I back up your data first, run a small test import, then check the totals after the full move. If your old data is messy, I tell you before I start. I fix prices, images and variants before you go live.
What can not be moved to Shopify?
Product reviews cannot move from Square to Shopify. Old order history needs extra tools, like Shopify's Order API or an import app. Ask me first and I will tell you if it is possible for your store.
Can I keep selling while you move my data?
Yes. Your old POS keeps running while I build everything in Shopify. Before you switch, I do a final stock check so sales made during the move are counted. We only switch when you say go.
I use Stocky. Can you help me before I lose my data?
Yes. Stocky shut down on August 31, and Shopify gave export access for at least 90 days after that, so do not wait. I export your data and rebuild stock counts, purchase orders and transfers in Shopify inventory.
Which POS systems do you move to Shopify?
I move Square, Clover and Lightspeed (X, E or R series). Using a different POS? Message me before you order with its name, and I will tell you honestly if I can do it.
What do you need from me to start?
Your old POS name, an export of your products and customers, and a short note on what you want moved. I ask for collaborator access to your Shopify store after you order. I never need your password. Keep all chats inside Fiverr.
Do my customers need to do anything after the move?
Your customer details are imported into Shopify. Customers may need to use the forgot password link to set a new login for your Shopify store. I can give you a short message to send them.
