I do VPS setup and Linux server administration for people who would rather not. Ubuntu or Debian, Nginx or Apache, PHP, MySQL, Docker, SSL installation, firewall and backups.
SERVER SETUP is a clean VPS with one site online and secured: web server, PHP and database tuned for your traffic, free auto-renewing SSL, firewall closed on everything you do not need.
SERVER ADMIN carries several sites or a real application: Docker where it makes sense, automatic backups that actually restore, monitoring, SSH key access with passwords disabled, and performance tuning.
MANAGED SERVER is the one you hand over and stop thinking about: hardening, fail2ban, centralised logs, unattended security updates, a restore plan I test in front of you, and written documentation of what is installed and how to restart it.
Any provider works: Hetzner, DigitalOcean, OVH, Contabo, AWS Lightsail or the one you already pay for. You keep the root access and the billing, I never hold your infrastructure.

Which provider should I take?
Tell me your budget and where your visitors are. If you already have a server, I work on that one.
Will you have access to my server forever?
No. I use an account you can delete, and I tell you how to remove it when the job is done.
Can you move my sites onto the new server?
Yes, add the migration extra. I move the sites, test them on the new server, and switch the DNS only once everything works.
Do you handle Windows servers?
No, Linux only. That is what I do well.
What if the server goes down later?
Add the monitoring extra and I get the alert before you do. For ongoing coverage, message me about a monthly plan.
