No. Everything I create is using sample libraries and virtual instruments. They are indistinguishable from real instruments for all intents and purpose.

For String section I use LA Scoring Strings and Cinematic Studio Series Strings. For the Woodwind section I use Berlin Woodwinds. For the Brass Section I use Berlin Brass and Cinematic Studio Brass. For Percussion I use Strike Force ,and Strezov Sampling Orchestral Percussion X3M.

For a Film, ideally, the Video Footage with editing done. If video footage is not available, you could provide parts of the script, or just even the general story and motivations for characters etc. For video games, in-game footage is recommended but not compulsory
