What requirements do you need to get started?
To get started, I need: 1. Facebook Business Manager Access, 2. Website Backend access (Shopify, WordPress, etc.), 3. GTM & GA4 Access (if already set up), and 4. Stape.io or Google Cloud account for server-side tracking.
What is the benefit of setting up the Conversions API (CAPI) alongside the Pixel?
Traditional browser-side Pixels are often blocked by ad-blockers, cookie restrictions, and iOS 14+ privacy settings. CAPI works server-side, meaning data is sent directly from your server to Meta. This ensures 100% accurate tracking, better attribution, and ultimately, a lower Cost Per Action (CPA).
Do I still need the standard Meta Pixel if I have CAPI?
Yes! Meta recommends a "Redundant Setup." We use both the Browser Pixel and the Server-side API. I will implement Event Deduplication to ensure Meta doesn't count the same conversion twice, giving you the most robust data possible.
What is "Event Deduplication" and why is it important?
Since we are sending data from both the browser and the server, Meta receives two signals for one action. Deduplication uses a unique event_id to tell Meta, "These two signals are the same." Without this, your ROAS and conversion counts will be artificially doubled and inaccurate.
