It also protect you from trackers which shows you regular ads about same content you searched online.
You can block websites.
Plus it provide you good GUI to see how many of your traffic comprise of garbage ads
but installing it on windows, Linux or on Synology is tricky and complex

Will I be able to block ads on YouTube also
Youtube uses integrated ads or in video playback ads, Pi hole work by blocking ads and tracker on DNS level. So it will not block any ads which plays before or during watching videos. But it will save you from trackers which shows you repeated ads for the same content you searched before.
