Benefits of this synchronization:
- Azure Active Directory synchronization is that it allows users to possess one set of credentials for access to both on-premises and Cloud resources.
- After this synchronization, users do not need to remember two different passwords, One for on premises and other for office 365. Both have same password due to the connection between on premises AD and Cloud.
- Once you synchronize users from on-premises AD to Azure cloud, password policies, like minimum password age and complexity requirements, will be governed by AD domain controllers.
