Gig Summary
About this gig
I will record bodhran for your song or your tune. This instrument comes from Ireland and is used for irish tunes but it can be versatile and can play on pop, country, world or any other style of music. If you're looking for ways to enrich your recording or to make it more colourful, I can help with creating interesting grooves and musical ideas with it. And of course, if irish music is what you create and you need a bodhran player to be part of your ensemble, I could do the job, be it jig, reel, polka, slip jig or any other odd meter time signature(I come from Bulgaria where most of our music is in those signatures).
I'll be glad to record and produce what is needed for your music with the bodhran, one of my favourite instruments!
I'm a professional musician for over 10 years now and am fluent in different styles of music. I'm really passionate about playing and always looking forward to new and interesting projects to which I can contribute with playing.

Hello there!
My name is Andrey Velkov. I live in Sofia, Bulgaria and have been working as a musician for more than 10 years. I graduated from the Bulgarian National Music Academy in 2015 and have been working on different projects and as a teacher ever since. My main instrument is the drum set but I play lots of different percussion instruments such as Bendir, Darbuka, Bodhran and some other percussion instruments on lower level of expertise. I'm playing in different projects based in Sofia, in a variety of music styles.

Andrey has done an oustanding job on the Bodhran! I asked him to play along with my jig and he listened, gave his spin to it and then recorded 3 different versions for me to choose from. All of them are amazing! His skill, politeness and communication not even mentioned. Andrey, thanks so much for your work and input. I really appreciate it! All the best
