With this gig I will review the security status of your Unix or Linux environment and provide recommendation towards a hardening strategy. The hardening check covers the full software stack, including the various configuration settings of the Operating System as well as common applications.
The hardening covers various security-related settings of the TCP/IP stack, the kernel, system components like package managers, file system and access control settings, physical aspects like access to USB and external media interfaces and more. It further covers security settings of common applications like SSH, Apache HTTP server and more.
Supported operating systems: AIX, FreeBSD, HP-UX, Linux, macOS, NetBSD, NixOS, OpenBSD, Solaris and embedded / network devices running Unix / Linux operating systems.
The hardening checks are non-invasive, can run on operational systems and do not leave residual files or artifacts on the system. A report will be provided that describes the findings and provides detailed recommendations regarding the hardening strategy.
