Will you take a backup of my site?
Yes, I will backup your database, themes and plugins before working on your site.
Will you backup my original images before compressing them?
Yes, and you will be able to restore original images if needed.
Which login credentials will you need?
WordPress Administrator-level user login credentials (username and password). If applicable to your job: Hosting account/CPanel login credentials - To update PHP. If applicable to your job: Domain registrar login credentials (login URL, username and password) - To integrate Cloudflare or other CDN.
Does my theme affect the site speed?
Yes, If you use a light weight and optimized theme like GeneratePress, Astra, OceanWP or Neve, fastest load times can be achieved. Sites using a heavy theme like Avada or sites built with page builders tend to load slower on shared hosting. But I will optimize them as fast as practically possible.
Does my hosting affect the site speed?
Sites using cheap shared hosting are slower than sites using cloud based hosting like Cloudways or good hosts like Siteground or A2 Hosting (SSD storage). But I will optimize them as fast as practically possible. Hosts with LiteSpeed Cache does not work well or cannot be used with WP Rocket.
What are the obstacles to achieve good PageSpeed / GTMetrix scores?
Having image sliders (Revolution), animations or site loader gifs above the fold prevents optimizing for Core Web Vitals. Also if your site is built with themes with heavy CSS/JS files or page builders like WPBakery, Elementor, Divi, it will affect load time. I'll apply steps to lower the effects.
Will your work change the functionality of my website?
No. But I might advise you to change, disable some features or use better options if you want to achieve faster load times.
Will you optimize my whole website?
While the work I perform will speed up the whole site, only the homepage of your website will be the main focus.
Will you install a genuine copy of WP Rocket plugin with a valid license?
Yes. I have the "Infinite" licence to install WP Rocket on unlimited websites. I will not install a "nulled" plugin. You will also get future updates and will be able to update WP Rocket within WordPress dashboard "Plugins" page. You will get update notifications in WordPress.
Are your optimizations compatible with WooCommerce?
Yes.
