What is sensitivity reading?
Sensitivity reading is a service where I review your manuscript for harmful stereotypes, inaccurate portrayals, and outdated tropes related to marginalized identities, including LGBTQ, queer, transgender, autism, ADHD, and mental health. I provide a critique with suggestions to improve authenticity
Do you use AI?
Never. Every word is read by me, a queer, trans writer, and neurodivergent sensitivity reader. I do not use AI for beta reading or sensitivity reading.
What genres do you read?
I read romance, romantasy, dark romance, fantasy, thriller, horror, sci-fi, novels, short stories, literature, and YA. I specialize in romance beta reader and romantasy beta reader services.
Will you sanitize my book?
No. My goal is not to make your book "safe" it is to make it authentic. I preserve tension, conflict, and creative voice while flagging inaccuracies or harmful tropes.
Can you guarantee no one will be offended?
No honest reader can. I can guarantee that I will identify issues that are most likely to cause harm and give you tools to address them.
What do you need from me?
Your manuscript (Word/Google Doc), genre, target audience, and any specific concerns. I also ask about your beta reader goals, do you want overall book feedback or focused sensitivity reading?
