Looks Like This Service Is On Hold
I will print and ship your 3d model to a US address, but please read all

About this gig
This is a pretty simple offering.
You send me:
- a file in .STL format or a link to the model on a free site like Thingiverse or Printables
- the ONE (1) single color you want it printed in
- the US address you want it shipped to
I print the model for you on my FDM (fused deposition modeling) printer using PLA filament. If it's a complex model (lots of parts), it may take longer or cost more, and I will work this out with you before starting.
I package and ship the printed part(s) to the US address you provide. I will include packaging and shipping costs in the offer price.
Things I don't do:
- I don't start printing until you accept an offer and I receive payment
- I don't create realistic images of your model to show you what it will look like
- I don't glue any prints together or paint
IMPORTANT NOTES - PLEASE READ
- NOTE 1: Please read all the FAQ, especially those about feature size and level of detail
- NOTE 2: I am not a designer - you must provide the .STL file or a link to it
- NOTE 3: I do not print using a resin printer - only a filament-based FDM printer
- NOTE 4: I can not print models that are larger than 180mm in any dimension
- NOTE 5: I only ship to addresses in the United States

FAQ
Will you create a 3-D model for me based on another file?
No, I am not a designer and I do not create 3-D models. You must provide the 3-D model file in .STL format to me, or you may send a link to the file if it is available on a site like Printables or Thingiverse (there are others - these are just two popular examples).
Will you send me a photo of my printed model before I pay?
No. I will not start printing until payment is received.
Can you send me a picture of what my printed model will look like?
No. I can send you a screen shot showing the printer-ready model but it will not look like the actual print (color, texture, etc.). It will show only the paths that the printer will print.
What material do you use?
I print almost exclusively using Overture PLA Professional, which is a more durable form of PLA. If your project requires a different brand of PLA or a color not available in PLA Pro, we can discuss ordering it.
What material colors do you offer?
I print using Overture PLA Professional, and have many of their colors on hand. If you request a color I don't have, I will get it. This will affect delivery time based on when I receive the filament.
What size models can you print?
My maximum print volume is 180mm x 180mm x 180mm. If you need a larger model printed, I can slice it into smaller pieces that YOU can glue together - but you are better off finding someone with a larger printer.
Do you print models with multiple parts?
Yes, I can print models that include many parts. Delivery time may be affected, but I will communicate with you through the process. As an example, I've printed automotive transmission models with almost 100 parts.
What level of detail can you print?
This is hard to answer. Some details print much more easily than others. Some can be printed by orienting the part a certain way, or by careful use of supports. Other details are simply too complex to print well. I will evaluate your model and tell you if I anticipate problems.
What is the smallest feature you can print?
I can print layers down to 0.1 mm thick, and a single extrusion is about 0.4 mm wide. That said, most features need several passes to have any chance of surviving. Any free-standing feature should be no smaller than 1-2 mm (a few requests have included handrails on model ships, which I cannot do).
Do you ship to addresses outside the United States of America?
No, because the shipping rates for international packages are cost-prohibitive. If you want to buy a $30 print and then pay $200+ to have it shipped, I'll do that, but why would you?
