That philosophy guides my approach to editing personal statements and secondary essays. I do not write essays from scratch or replace an applicants voice with my own. I work with what you have written and help you make it clearer, stronger, more engaging, and more polished.

My background is a little different from that of a traditional essay editor. For nearly 30 years, I owned and managed a business where writing, communication, and understanding people were essential. I have a degree in psychology, served as an editor in the Peace Corps, and wrote and published original marketing materials that remained successful for many years.

More recently, I have proofread and edited medical school application essays using AMSA criteria and have spent considerable time learning the expectations surrounding medical school personal statements and secondary essays.
