Will the add-on work on AnkiMobile (iOS) or AnkiDroid?
No, Anki add-ons are written in Python and only run on the desktop versions of Anki (Mac, Windows, and Linux). However, if the add-on modifies your card data, tags, or styling (HTML/CSS), those changes will sync to your mobile devices.
Can you fix an old add-on that broke after an Anki update?
Yes! Anki updates frequently, which often breaks older add-ons. Just send me the original .ankiaddon file or a link to its AnkiWeb page, and I will update the code to be compatible with the current version.
What Anki versions do you support?
I develop and test add-ons for the modern Anki 2.1+ and the newer 23.x/24.x releases. If you need compatibility for a specific older version, please let me know in your message.
How will I install the add-on you make for me?
I will send you a packaged .ankiaddon file. All you have to do is double-click it (or go to Tools > Add-ons > Install from file in Anki), restart your app, and it will be ready to use.
Do I need to know how to code to use the add-on?
Not at all. I build add-ons to be user-friendly. If the add-on requires a custom menu or settings, I will build it directly into the Anki interface for you.
