FAQ
What's included in a sound design?
It depends on the chosen pack. If you need heavy sound design work you can choose Pro. You will get the full sound design. For example a car chase, aeroplanes, group tracks (people in a scene who make noise), impacts, etc.
Why does the delivery time go up with the video duration time?
There will be more work if the video has a longer duration, this results in a longer delivery time in comparison with a shorter video. A video longer than 1 minute means an increase in delivery time.
How to deliver an AAF properly?
To deliver a proper AAF you should do this sample rate - 48khz bitrate - 24 bit file format - AIFF or Broadcast WAV Export with audio effects turned off (I can apply my own effects to the files) Handle length minimum of 100 frames (or complete is fine too, if the project is small)
How to organise my tracks?
It's simple. Place all the tracks that contain dialogue, fx, voice-over, wild takes underneath each other on a separate track. Give them the proper name, for example, DX, MX, FX, VO, WILD, SYNC, etc. That's it, this will speed up my workflow, which means faster delivery.
If I choose basic, will I get decent sound correction?
You will get the dialogue to the point it will be intelligible for your audience. Heavy lifting like surgical de-noising, de-clicking, removing unwanted noises do not come within the basic package. You should go for the Pro package.
