How does this differ from my 'Edit & Part Rewrite as a Top Seller' Gig?
This is a complete overhaul, addressing every negative aspect. It respects the fact the book may have been published, analysing why it's not performing. It takes advantage of my bestseller status, with an extended, highly intensive treatment, refining your book 100% to stop negative reviews.
Why is this product expensive?
This product is for ambitious authors wishing to invest markedly in transforming their writing in every way possible. It can take half the month (168 hrs) or a whole month (372 hrs), to the exclusion of all else, to complete such a task. As such, it needs to fund the month or part month fully.
Does this include book formatting?
It depends on what you mean by formatting. I deliver back each script in a publishing quality aesthetic, following industry norms. However, editors are not formatting experts so you may need a formatter's advice, especially for physical copies. Most clients, though, use exactly what I send.
What book lengths can you treat?
I can work on any length; the pricing given is only based on sample sizes. I have reworked books as short as 15k words and as long as 250k words!
Are the prices rigid?
Each book treatment receives a bespoke costing. It is vital to see at least 5,000 words of your script and to provide a 1-1 costing for you. Prices are a rough guide only; your costing may well come in at a lower fee. It all depends on your script's needs and how many days of intensive reworking.
Who is the typical client for this treatment?
Clients often fall into two categories! I have elderly clients who write their memoir and submit it for a rework on the basis that they want to leave their family with a perfect book. I also have many professional authors who wish to use their reworked book as a springboard to success.
Is non-fiction acceptable?
Yes. I can rework and rewrite both fiction and non-fiction happily. Non-fiction, however (apart from memoirs which are usually straightforward) can work out costlier since reworking is a much slower process, fees being based on how many intensive days the work will require.
Are any genres unsuitable for this?
The only genre coming to mind is Lit RPG, (gaming literature) since as I am not a gamer, I cannot rework them. I can, however, edit and polish them via my other products.
How much new writing will be added during the treatment?
If you book this service, you can request that I add no new writing or give me the freedom to add. In the latter case, I add as much as I feel will enhance the book. This can markedly increase your word count.
What if the book has really bad reviews or the author believes it is really poor?
Often, I elect to work on the book script on which I can make the biggest difference! Enjoyment and value come into this; I also need to love what I do, and I am not afraid of hard work. Don't be embarrassed; send it to me for evaluation! The aim is to STOP all negativity surrounding your book!
