About this gig
My name is Annika Jayne and I am a professional musician & songwriter and have been writing folk songs for 30 years. I have been recording guitar for my own songs and occasionally for other songwriters as well. I play a Cort guitar with custom light strings (11 - 52) and am using various fingerpicking styles. I am recording all of my tracks stereo to Cubase with two Rode M3 condenser microphones and can provide a high-quality .wav file for your project.

Do you play fingerstyle guitar?
No, it is fingerpicking guitar, that means, I pick the chords rather than strumming them. I might include a little variation here and there but it doesn't qualify as fingerstyle guitar.
Do you need chords written out?
For the basic and the standard gigs you can book on my page, yes, I do. If you don't have the chords written out, please book the premium gig. If you would like me to compose or improvise something, please contact me. Custom offers are available.
Do you also compose guitar tracks or loops?

I write lyrics / poems. Can you compose the melody and a fingerpicking guitar part?
Absolutely! However, the lyrics must be good. ;-) But don't despair, we can also look at the lyrics together. I can work on English, French, and German lyrics. However, I won't work on lyrics that are racist, misogynistic, or glorify violence. Please contact me for your custom offer!
Can you compose an entire song with lyrics and everything?
Sure! I can write lyrics in English, French, or German. However, I won't write lyrics that are racist, misogynistic or glorify violence. The genre would be folk/singer-songwriter. Please contact me to get your custom offer!
If you write a song, can you record it?
I can record it at home in my home studio with guitar and vocals, but I can't mix or master it. I will give you both stems as .wav files which you can then give to a sound engineer. Please contact me for a custom offer!
Can you mix and master the recording?
No, I'm sorry, I don't have the skills to do that. I will provide .wav files which you can then give to a sound engineer who can mix and master your entire song or piece of music.
