I will write what needs to change in schools

There has been a greater production of graduates in our schools because students are just trained on how pass exams but not how to solve real-world problems like mental health, gender bias and discrimination and how to handle those with dyslexia . Mental health is becoming a norm in school especially in Africa. In classes you find a student who has perfect grades but deep down is depressed, anxious and lonely. Both teachers and parents should avoid comparing students' performance. This is because God has gifted each one of us differently. No one notices mental health at all, the main focus of the school is on good grades ,ignoring the emotional survival of the students they serve. In schools, girls are discriminated by being told to dream small while boys are punished for being soft. Students with dyslexia are bullied by being called lazy or lost but behind every dyslexia student, is a mind wired with brilliance. Being dyslexia is not a weakness but a different kind of strength. Students experiencing mental health should speak out in safe places like mental health gatherings, both teachers and students should give support to dyslexic students, girls and boys should be empowered.
