I'm Antonella Pintado, a qualified architect and Passive House Designer with 8+ years of experience in Argentina, New Zealand, Australia, and the US.
This gig focuses on Passive House principles and PHPP calculations to evaluate and improve building energy performance, including orientation, insulation, windows, airtightness, ventilation, heating/cooling and shading.
For PHPP calculations, you must provide accurate project information, drawings, dimensions, construction assemblies, windows, orientation and specifications. Results depend on the accuracy of the information provided.
These are starting prices to give you an idea of where your project stands. Final pricing depends on size, complexity and scope.
PHPP calculations do not provide official Passive House certification. Certification requires coordination and review with a PHI-accredited certifier. In some countries, certification may help access government incentives or subsidies.

FAQ
Do you provide a Passive House certificate?
No. I can assist with Passive House design and PHPP calculations, but official certification must be completed through a PHI-accredited certifier. Please contact me first if that's what you are looking for.
Can you work with an existing design?
Yes, depending on the package selected. However, this gig does not include general design reviews, feedback or optimization advice for an existing project. Find my consulting gig specifically for design feedback, layout optimization, markups and Passive House improvement ideas.
Do I need to provide drawings?
Yes, particularly for PHPP calculations. Ideally, you should provide floor plans, sections, elevations, dimensions, window information, construction assemblies, orientation and other relevant specifications. The more accurate the information, the more reliable the results.
Do I need to have an architectural design already?
Yes. This gig is intended for projects that already have a developed architectural design, including plans, dimensions and other relevant project information. From there, I can develop the Passive House components within the selected package, such as ventilation layouts, construction details & PHPP.
I haven't started my design yet. Can you help me design a Passive House project?
Yes. If you want to build to Passive House principles but haven't started the design, contact me first. We can develop the concept with Passive House strategies from the start, then move to this gig for detailed design, ventilation, detailing and/or PHPP calculations.
Can you tell me if my project will pass Passive House standards?
I can use PHPP to evaluate the project's performance and identify whether it is meeting the relevant targets. However, final certification is determined by the accredited certification process.
Can you work with projects outside my country?
Yes. Passive House principles and PHPP can be applied internationally. However, local building codes, regulations and certification requirements are outside the standard scope unless specifically agreed.
Is PHPP the same as an energy certificate or local energy rating?
No. PHPP is a specialized tool used to evaluate building energy performance within the Passive House methodology. It is not necessarily equivalent to a local building energy rating or statutory energy certificate.
Can I order PHPP calculations without having a complete design?
Usually, a sufficiently developed design and accurate project information are necessary for meaningful PHPP calculations. If your project is still at an early stage, the Basic or Premium package may be more appropriate.
