What is the difference between Stereo and Stem Mastering?
In Stereo Mastering, I work with a single file (your final mix). In Stem Mastering (Standard/Premium), you send me up to 6 or unlimited groups (Drums, Bass, Guitars, Vocals, etc.). This allows me to fix specific balance issues and achieve a much punchier, cleaner result.
Do I need to leave -6dB of headroom?
Not strictly. Digital headroom is easily managed. Just ensure your file is not clipping (going over 0dB) and that you have removed any Limiter or heavy compression from your master bus so I have room to work.
What file format should I send?
Please send high-quality WAV or AIFF files (24-bit or 32-bit) at their original sample rate. Avoid MP3s as they lack the data needed for professional high-end processing.
Will my song be ready for Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube?
Yes! I optimize every master for all major streaming platforms, ensuring the right LUFS loudness and tonal balance so your music sounds great on any system, from club speakers to smartphones.
Why should I choose the "Technical Mix Feedback" in the Premium tier?
Mastering cannot fix a broken mix. With the Premium tier, I will analyze your track first. If I find issues (like phase problems or harsh frequencies), I’ll give you professional advice to fix them before I start the final master.
