My Word file is a mess — inconsistent fonts, broken styles, random spacing. Can you still work with it?
Yes — and it is more common than you think. I rebuild your layout completely in InDesign from scratch, so the state of your Word file does not affect quality. Messy and clean files produce the same professional result.
KDP already rejected my previous formatter's file. Can you fix it?
Yes. Share the rejection notice, KDP always specifies the exact error. Most common causes: incorrect bleed, non-embedded fonts, wrong colour profiles. I address all three as standard practice. Your new file will pass.
I don't know what trim size to use. What do you recommend?
Fiction: 5.5×8.5 or 6×9. Non-fiction and self-help: 6×9. Short books under 100 pages: 5×8. I make a specific recommendation once I know your genre and word count — message me.
I need a print book AND a Kindle ebook. Do I need two orders?
No. Both are included in Standard and Premium. The print PDF and EPUB are built from the same InDesign file so they match perfectly. The ebook has a clickable hyperlinked table of contents and is validated for KDP upload.
What does 'unlimited revisions' actually mean?
