Please provide your existing and proposed architectural drawings, plans, sections and any available site or structural information. Photos of the property can also be helpful. For more complex projects, I may request additional information before starting.
Do you provide structural calculations as well as drawings?
Yes. Structural calculations can be provided for the required steel beams, columns, timber members, foundations and other structural elements depending on the agreed scope.
Can you respond to Building Control comments?
Yes. Structurally related Building Control comments can be reviewed and amendments can be made where they relate to the original agreed design. Additional design work may be quoted separately.
What is included in a revision?
Revisions cover reasonable amendments to the agreed structural design. Major architectural changes, additional extensions or changes to the original project scope may require an additional fee.
Can you provide steel connection details?
Yes. Connection details can be included where agreed, including bolted plates, cleats, end plates, bearing arrangements and other typical residential steel connections.
Do you provide foundation design?
Yes, where required by the project. This may include trench-fill foundations, pad foundations and associated structural details. Complex ground conditions, trees or specialist foundation requirements may require additional information or investigation.
Can you design steel beams for load-bearing wall removal?
Yes. I can design steel beams and associated supports such as padstones, bearing plates and columns where required.
