About this gig
I will create a SolidWorks sheet metal CAD model and manufacturing drawing package for a defined part or small assembly.
This is for clients who have a sketch, photo, reference part, rough dimensions, or an existing CAD file and need clean 3D CAD output for supplier or shop review.
Typical deliverables can include:
- SolidWorks part or small assembly model
- - STEP export
- - PDF manufacturing drawing
- - DWG drawing file when needed
- - Bend or flat pattern information where applicable
- - Basic fabrication review notes
Before starting, I will check units, material and thickness assumptions, bend direction, hole sizes, clearances, and what file formats your supplier needs.
This is not a CAM toolpath or structural engineering certification service. If you only need a simple PDF or image to DXF/DWG cleanup, my DXF/DWG cleanup gig is the better fit.

Is this the same as DXF/DWG cleanup?
No. This gig is for SolidWorks sheet metal CAD modeling, STEP files, and manufacturing drawings. If you only need simple 2D DXF/DWG cleanup, my DXF/DWG cleanup gig is the better fit.
What do you need from me?
Please send your sketch, photo, existing CAD, key dimensions, required units, material/thickness if known, and the intended manufacturing process.
Can you provide STEP and SolidWorks source files?
Yes. I can deliver STEP and SolidWorks source files depending on the selected package and agreed scope.
Can you create a flat pattern?
Yes, when the part geometry, material thickness, bend radius, and manufacturing context are clear. Shop-specific bend allowance should be confirmed by your manufacturer.
Do you provide production approval or engineering validation?
No. I prepare CAD models and drawings for supplier or shop review. Certified calculations, structural validation, and final production approval are not included.
