What word count do you cover per package?
Basic covers up to 10,000 words , ideal for a single chapter or short story. Standard covers up to 35,000 words for novellas or partial manuscripts. Premium covers up to 80,000 words for full LGBTQ romance novels. Message me for anything longer.
How will you deliver my feedback?
All feedback is delivered via Google Docs pr words document with inline comments so you see exactly which line or scene each note refers to, plus a summary report at the end covering overall impressions, what works well, and specific areas to revise.
I am not part of the LGBTQ+ community, can you still help me?
Absolutely , many of my clients write outside their own experience, which is exactly why a queer sensitivity read matters. My feedback will help you write queer characters that feel fully human, not like a straight writer's idea of what queer looks like.
Do you use AI tools to read or review my manuscript?
No, and I want to be completely upfront about that. Every word of feedback you receive comes from me reading your manuscript myself, as a real human reader who exists within the LGBTQ+ community.
Is my manuscript kept confidential?
Absolutely, your story stays between us. I will never share, discuss, post about, or reference your manuscript with anyone outside of our working relationship. I do not keep copies of your work after the order is complete, and I will never use your story as a portfolio sample without your permission
How long will it take to receive my feedback?
Delivery times depend on your package Basic is 4days, Standard is 7days, and Premium is 14days. These are realistic timelines that allow me to read carefully and give your manuscript the attention it deserves, not a rushed skim. If your deadline is tighter than that, message me.
Given my story's word count, which package should I purchase?
For all packages, the cost for additional words is $5 per 10,000 words. The way the math breaks down, the Short Story tier is cheapest for stories under 20k words, the Novella tier is best for stories between 20k and 60k, and for anything over 60k, you should go with the Novel tier.
What's the difference between beta reading and editing?
Beta reading is my cheapest service, but also the least comprehensive. I just read the story and give you my thoughts, without making prose-level edits or going deep on craft issues. If you want some editing but aren't ready to commit to the full price, try the Sample Line Edit or Extended Report.
Do you use AI in your beta reading or otherwise outsource your work?
No. I will treat all our communications and all writing you send to me as confidential between us. I will never put your writing into an AI and my reader reports are 100% my own writing, never AI generated
Do you only work with queer indie authors?
Nope! That's the area where I have the most experience, but I wouldn't turn anyone away just because their work falls outside of my usual niche.
