What kind of PDFs do you accept?
The standard packages cover readable, text-based tables such as product lists, price lists and inventory records. Please send sample pages first if the PDF has merged cells, rotated text, several different layouts or unclear characters.
Can you convert scanned PDFs?
Possibly, depending on scan quality and table structure. Send a sample before ordering so I can check readability and confirm a custom scope. Handwritten or illegible information is outside this offer. Unclear characters will be flagged rather than guessed.
Will the spreadsheet look exactly like the PDF?
The aim is a usable table with consistent columns, not a pixel-perfect recreation of the page. Repeated headers, decorative graphics and page furniture are excluded from data rows. We will agree which notes, totals and fields to retain.
Will you preserve product codes and leading zeros?
Yes. Identifiers are treated as text where needed so values such as 00101 keep their leading zeros. Please specify date formats, decimal separators and any other formatting conventions.
What if the source contains errors or missing data?
I preserve the source information and flag uncertainty. I do not invent missing facts or silently correct the document. If a total does not reconcile, I report the discrepancy. The source document remains the reference for transcription checks.
What does each package limit mean?
Both the page and row limits apply across all requested tables and input files. For example, Basic covers at most 3 source pages and 150 data rows, with up to 10 columns per table. Dense or complex tables may need a custom offer after review.
Is data cleaning included?
Basic formatting needed for extraction is included, along with removal of repeated page headers. Deduplication of business records, category correction, data enrichment and advanced spreadsheet cleaning are outside this gig. Repeated source records are retained unless another rule is agreed.
What does a revision cover?
A revision covers adjustments to the agreed extraction or layout for the original source pages. New documents, extra pages or additional fields are outside the original scope. Transcription errors in my delivery will be corrected without an additional charge.
How should I share confidential documents?
Only share documents you are authorised to provide, and remove unnecessary sensitive information. Tell me about confidentiality requirements or tool restrictions before ordering. Your files will not be used in a public portfolio without your permission.
Which files will I receive?
You can request XLSX, CSV or both. XLSX can contain separate data and review-note sheets. CSV contains plain table data without Excel styling; related notes can be supplied separately. Source-page references are included as agreed.
