search Gtmetrix on google then test your URL in Gtmetrix site
Can you configure Cloudflare for me?
Cloudflare comes as part of my package, but this will depend on your hosting environment. For example, Cloudflare won't be suitable for sites hosted on Amazon Web Services. It also may not be suitable for sites that are already running an SSL certificate. Contact me for more info!
Does an A on GTMetrix equate to an A on Google Pagespeed/Pingdom etc?
No, but this can depend on a number of factors. My gig is specifically tailored towards GTMetrix, and I do not guarantee similar results when you run your URL via another service. I find GTMetrix to be the most accurate in nailing down the issues, & so that is the only result I focus on improving.
My YouTube videos are slowing down my site - can you help?
Yes! Embedded YouTube videos are an example of something that relies on external scripts. Anything sitting outside of your site cannot be controlled or cached, so little optimisation can be done. I use a technique that eliminates these scripts, whilst maintaining an excellent user experience!
What prevents me from achieving an A Grade?
Caching a website is a sure way to improve performance, however if you have integrated plugins or code that require external links, these scripts can have a huge impact, eg, Soundcloud integration, adverts, YouTube videos, Live chat facilities, even Google Analytics requires 3rd party code.
