Congratulations on finishing your fantasy novel! Whether you're intending to self-publish or hoping to land an agent/publisher, I can help polish your manuscript so it's ready for the next stage in your author journey.
I will conduct a line edit on your book, focusing on issues like:
- Spelling
- Grammar
- Punctuation
- Word choice
- Repetition (e.g. of words & sentence structure)
- Readability, redundancy, and ambiguity
- Consistency (e.g. in settings & characters)
I'll send you two documents once my edit is complete: one showing my comments & changes using Word's Track Changes, and one clean copy.
I'm a writer too, so I understand how important your work is to you & how scary it is to put your book in someone else's hands! My intention is to help your novel become as good as it can be, while allowing your unique voice to shine through.

How does your editing gig work?
Thank you for considering working with me! Please contact me and send your full manuscript as a Word document. I’ll look at your novel and provide a custom quote that includes a price and delivery date. If you’re happy with it, I’ll send you a custom offer & we can get started!
Do you use AI to edit?
No, I don't use ChatGPT or any generative AI tools to edit your work. Every single edit is made personally by me.
Do you only edit fantasy?
No! As well as fantasy, I’m happy to work on sci-fi, mystery, horror, YA, romance, and thrillers. I’m not the best choice for children’s book, erotica, translated books, memoir, non-fiction, or Christian fiction. If you're unsure, please get in touch!
What type of files do you accept?
I edit on Word, using the Track Changes feature. I do not work on manuscripts which have already been typeset for publication, nor do I format books for publication.
Do you conduct developmental editing?
No. If you’re looking for big-picture editing on issues such as plot and character development, I recommend you choose a specialist developmental editor. There are plenty of amazing people on Fiverr who offer this service. Having said that, if I spot an issue I will of course let you know!
Will you keep my work confidential?
Of course!
Are you qualified?
Yes! I have completed a specialist course in editing fiction which is recommended by the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP). Plus, I'm an avid reader :)
