In the healthcare domain, I develop HL7 interfaces for messages like ADT (Visits), SIU (Appointments), ORM (Orders), ORU (Test Results), RDE (Rx Orders to Dispensing Systems), RDS (Dispensing of Medications), MFN (Formulary), DFT (Financial Transaction), ZPM (Load/Unload of Pharmacy Items), and other legacy data between a Hospital Information System (HIS) or EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system and other 3rd party systems such as pharmacy systems, laboratory systems, radiology systems, etc. within or outside the hospital using an integration engine like Rhapsody or Mirth Connect.

• First, we need to understand the requirements exactly.
• Second, do a feasibility study by analyzing the available systems and data.
• Design the required interface(s) and implement them using an integration engine in a development or test server environment.
• Do unit testing with dummy data, and finally do user acceptance testing.
• Deploy the interface(s) in the production environment after successful testing.
• Do technical documentation and give proper handover to the client for their own monitoring and maintenance.
